Organic soil amendments impact on soil organic matter and nutrient characteristics and dynamics

We are pleased to announce the details of our first international workshop as part of the TwinSubDyn project! The workshop aims at providing researchers and academia members a forum to exchange and discuss scientific contributions and open challenges, both theoretical and practical.

The workshop will take place in University of Novi Sad, Dr Zorana Đinđića 1, Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia, from 26th – 29th September 2023. The workshop will be organised as hybrid event.

Our workshop will feature a fantastic lineup of speakers from Forschungszentrum Jülich , Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear variety of topics related to soil carbon importance and benefits, analysis of soil organic matter, isotope signatures of biogeochemical processes, and nutrient cycling in soil, among others. The goal of the workshop is to transfer knowledge from EU institution to Western Balkan academia in this area and to explore new ideas and developments in the field.

Workshop on contamination control in relation to the application of organic soil amendments in soil

We are excited to announce our second international workshop as part of the TwinSubDyn project, focusing on Contamination Control in Relation to the Application of Organic Soil Amendments in Soil.

This workshop will take place from 28th November – 01st December 2023. The workshop will take place in University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences, Teacher Club, Trg Dositeja Obradovica 4, Republic of Serbia, and will be held as a hybrid event.

We have assembled an exceptional group of speakers from the University of Vienna who will be covering topics related to the state of EU organic soil amendments contaminant regulation, biodegradation and biotransformation of organic contaminants in receiving environment, and fate of DNA and RNA in soils: interaction with minerals and biodegradation. Our goal is to facilitate knowledge transfer from EU institutions to academia in the Western Balkans and to encourage the exploration of new ideas and developments in this field.
